Ms. Howell’s 4^th Grade Class

Dear Parents,

As we move through the first few weeks of school please make sure to check your child’s agenda and homework assignments. Every day I write the days homework on the board and the students also write it in their agenda. I also post the homework on our class blog: howell4bes.blogspot.com as well as upcoming tests, vocabulary words, and study guides.

As you check your child’s Friday Folder, if there are any grades on the left hand side that are 73 or below, please initial the chart AND go over the assignment with your child. Then send the actual assignment back to school, so that I can keep it.

We have had lots of conversation this week about the importance of listening and following directions.  The 4^th grade as a whole has had some issues in classroom as well as in specials classes.  Fourth grade requires lots of responsibility and we expect students to be sure they are responsible for their materials and their learning.  Thank you so much for your help and support! I hope that you have a wonderful Labor Day weekend J

Below are just a few reminders/notes that you will find in the Friday folder:

·       On the left hand side of the Friday Folder you will find the Media Center bookmark for September.  All bookmarks are due Friday, September 26^th.  Your child can count the 30 minutes that they read each night towards the appropriate books on the bookmark.   Thank you to all of the students who returned their August bookmark today!

·       There is a flyer regarding PTA reflections. The deadline is September 29^th, September 30^th, and October 1st
